According to Medicare benefits, Core testing begins with the female partner.
If the female partner is found to be a carrier of Spinal Muscular Atrophy or Cystic Fibrosis, we will provide a testing kit to the male partner to screen for that specific condition. This additional testing is free of charge if the male partner has a valid Medicare card.
For same-sex couples (females assigned at birth): both partners need to order their individual Core tests using their unique Medicare numbers and email addresses.
